UES Gallery Townhouse Smiles for the Cameras Again

New, 5 comments

When 19 East 82nd Street hit the market in December, we were about as unimpressed as one can be with an 11,000-square-foot UES mansion asking $34.8 million. One reason: the interiors were distinctly lacking in wow. But they look a little better in the new set of photos taken by the Journal for a feature on the house-gallery combo. The building is three floors gallery, two floors residence, the product of a $1 million renovation after art dealer Warren Adelson and his wife spent $25 million on the house in 2006. Other features that make us look more favorably on the place: the shipping room in the basement and the custom-made tent pavilion for events on the roof deck.
