Zooming in on One57's Glass; New Art on a Brooklyn Bridge

New, 6 comments

MIDTOWN WEST?We shared our first close-up of One57's wavy glass panels last week. Since then more paneling's been added, and a tipster writes in with a few more recent photos of the glass. Click to expand the photos, as practice for looking at the real One57 when it's done. [CurbedWire Inbox]

PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS?Wondering about the artsy addition to the pedestrian bridge over the subway tracks on Lincoln Road between Flatbush and Ocean avenues? We're gonna tell you about it anyway! It was created by artist Katherine Daniels as part of the DOT's pARTners art program, and it's called Lincoln Road Serape. It's a "70-foot weaving made of plastic ribbons woven into a chain link fence?inspired by blanket designs of diamond shapes and zig-zags woven by Navajo craftspeople." See it through October 31.
