The Navy Yard Cocktail Lounge, the piece of South Jersey at Flushing and Washington Avenues, is about to become gentrification exhibit number 9,847. A Subway, a Dunkin Donuts, and two other tenants?including, perhaps, an IHOP?are coming to the space. The bar opened in the early 1900s and closed in 2010 and was a popular option for Navy Yard workers, but at least one of them tells the Brooklyn Paper he's looking forward to having something new for lunch.
