Direct Views of the Guggenheim for the Monied Wright Fan

New, 7 comments

For $10M on Fifth Avenue, one would expect views of leafy Central Park, but there are only a couple of buildings that deliver views of Frank Lloyd Wright's iconic Guggenheim Museum. This co-op apartment occupies the third floor of one of those buildings, 2 East 88th Street. At this height, the Central Park vistas are limited to the dense trees across the street, but the Guggenheim's tower looms large in the side street windows. The floor plan is spacious, offering four bedrooms, 4.5 baths, a 29-foot library with dual exposures, and two wood-burning fireplaces. The chef's kitchen, which goes unpictured, seems more like a staff kitchen, with built-in grill to complement the standard range and a laundry nook left open to the prep area.
