Architect Andre Kikoski?designer of 1280 Fifth Avenue, among other projects?has experienced an apartment sale letdown second only to the denial of his proposed Guggenheim snack bar. His 2BR, 2.5BA at 860 United Nations Plaza has finally sold, the Observer notes, for just $1.83 million. Kikoski and his wife were originally asking $2.65 million when they listed the apartment in January 2011; they chopped the price a few times, finally hitting $1.85 million in June. They bought the place for $1.55 million in 2005 and then renovated, removing some walls and painting others to be more sky- and water-like. Not positive associations for prospective buyers?
