The Community Board 3 Landmarks subcommittee is about to hear a proposal for window replacements at 605 East 9th Street, the former P.S. 64 and CHARAS/El Bohio community center space, which leads EV Grieve to wonder what exactly is going on there. All we know so far: there's a new architect of record, Curtis + Ginsberg Architects LLC, the same folks behind the P.S. 90 makeover. A residential conversion won't be P.S. 64's fate, because the deed restricts the building to community use. So what is going to happen to it? Intel, suggestions welcomed. [EVG; previously]
