Fraudster's UES Duplex Returns to Market for $19.5 Million

New, 9 comments

Now that fraudster Hassan Nemazee is behind bars, it's up to the federal government to resell his 770 Park Avenue duplex and use the proceeds to settle his debts. But maybe not all of his debts. The duplex started out asking $28 million in early 2011 and has undergone several substantial PriceChops, including of $5M (the feds take their price cuts very seriously). It re-emerged onto the market again yesterday, the Real Estalker notes, with a new broker and at a slimmer ask of $19.5 million.

Here's the brokerbabble:

Grand proportions, soaring ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, original herringbone floors, and classic moldings enhance the graceful layout of the home. Incorporating 28 windows spanning three exposures, glorious light and charming city views abound. A stately 14' x 13' gallery leads to a dramatic 29' corner living room overlooking Park Avenue, with traditional moldings and a woodburning fireplace. The adjacent 20' library has attractive built-ins and a lovely wooburning fireplace. Accessed off the reception hall, the corner formal dining room offers an elegant setting for entertaining. The windowed kitchen has a large breakfast area and, a butler's pantry. A 17' family room could easily serve as an additional bedroom. The upper level includes five bedrooms, each with a full bath en suite and two terraces. There are also two staff rooms a staff bath and a separate laundry room. C'mon, people, buying here is a good deed! Check out the floorplan first:
