Progress at Chase Plaza; More Rules for the Brooklyner

[The current state of One Chase Plaza's renovation]

FINANCIAL DISTRICT?A tipster sent along the above photos of Chase's ongoing renovation of its public plaza downtown, bounded by Liberty, William, Pine and Nassau Streets. Contractor Hunter Roberts has been tasked with repairing the plaza's drainage system, which includes stone work, drain replacement, and waterproofing. The construction fences went up in July, and the project is expected to continue through early 2013. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN?Another day, another new rule at the Brooklyner. This time, the management sent word that dogs are no longer allowed to relieve themselves in front of the building. Why? "This will remove odor smelled by your fellow residents and keep our neighborhood clean." At least they aren't making the dogs wear wristbands. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
