The garage at 24 Leonard may be the latest Tribeca lot to play host to new condos. Developer Tribeach Holdings has apparently purchased the property, according to a source of Tribeca Citizen's, and plans to build condos where the garage now stands. The only limit on those condos will be size, since neighbor 34 Leonard already owns the air rights but the lot itself is not part of the nearby historic district. The neighbors haven't, historically, had the best relationship with the garage?there was a whole feud over flood lights during the Buster's Garage sports bar controversy of 2008, for example. But given the uproar over the proposal for nearby 15 Leonard, it's unlikely the neighbors will have the best relationship with a new condo building, either.
