Carroll Gardens' priciest townhouse is no more. After just over a month on the market, 356 Sackett Street, described in the comments section as "massively overpriced," "NOT worth $4 million," and "out of touch with the reality of the neighborhood," has entered contract. Although the agreed upon sale price is not known, as Brownstoner put it, "a quick move into contract often later reveals a deal struck close to ask." Since the house was listed for $4,099,000, it's likely that it did, in fact, manage to fetch the owners somewhere close to $4 million, and with relatively little delay. (The incredible kitchen and backyard probably didn't hurt its case either.) Could this be the beginning of a new era for Carroll Gardens houses?
