The rumors that Patrick Stewart moved to Park Slope were bolstered last week when the knighted actor tweeted about cable issues (he's just like us!), and now it's been confirmed: the former Starship Enterprise captain purchased a duplex penthouse at for $2.5 million, according to public records filed with the city. The 3BR/2.5BA in a converted carriage house spent almost six months on the market before Stewart picked it up. Stewart had been looking for a "fair amount of outdoor space," and he certainly got that with the unit's private 1,200-square-foot rooftop terrace.
Who wouldn't want to live here?
Enter the front garden through a towering iron gate, through a solid 8 foot wood door and into a private keyed elevator to this sprawling and sun drenched home. With four exposures, 11 foot ceilings, and a 31 foot wide living/dining and kitchen area this is one of Park Slope's most spacious and welcoming interior spaces. [...] Turn into the sun flooded living space and you will be met by a wall of oversized Marvin casement windows which frame the living and dining area. The unit has two wood-burning fireplaces, a laundry room, a chef's kitchen, and a master suite with an additional 200-square-foot balcony. UPDATE: We've removed the floorplan at the request of reps.
