Today in "holy crap, that's really cool" news: these detailed replicas of New York City buildings constructed from millions of toothpicks. Artist/toothpick engineer Stan Munro spends his days building architectural models of famous buildings around the world, and over the weekend, he brought his "Toothpick City" to the Maker Faire in Flushing, Queens. Inhabitat stopped by to see the mind-boggling models, which range from a 1:164 scale version of One World Trade Center to a 14-inch tall Statue of Liberty. Our favorite is his recently complete Yankee Stadium, filled with hundreds of thousands of toothpick fans. Click through for more photos:
