FLATIRON?Madison Square Park flipped the switch on the LED-bedazzled Buckyball sculpture last night, and we must say, it looks pretty awesome. The 30-foot tall artwork was created by Leo Villareal, and it's decked-out with 180 color-changing LEDs. Buckyball is on view through February 1, 2013. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]

CONEY ISLAND?The landscape of Coney Island is in flux, and a new documentary looks at the ongoing changes through the story of Eddie Miranda and his classic park ride. The film, called "Zipper," focuses on Miranda and the Zipper ride, which he operated for nearly four decades. The story's backdrop is the battle between Bloomberg and Thor Equities, and Joe Sitt's grand plans for a modern makeover. The film debuts on November 10 at DOC NYC.
