UPPER WEST SIDE?The Parks Department is proposing a complete renovation of the 79th Street Boat Basin that would reinforce the dock and allow the area to reopen to the public. Architectural renderings show that the small wooden pier would be upgraded and visitors would be able to walk out over the water. You can find the very detailed proposal here. The renovation will be discussed at the October 15 Community Board 7 Parks and Environment Committee meeting. [CurbedWire Inbox; official]
