The overhaul of the plaza at the Metropolitan Museum of Art will begin October 15, and the Met and the neighbors have finally settled on a mutually satisfactory number of tables and chairs: there will be 30 tables and 120 chairs. (There were originally going to be 100 tables and 400 chairs.) Food and ticket kiosks were part of the initial plan, too, but the Met is holding off on that until the first round of plaza reconstruction finishes up two years from now. [DNAinfo; previously]
