Most of the city's landmarks appear to have made it through Hurricane Sandy without damage, even the low-lying sites like Alice Austin House and the Eldritch Street Synagogue. The South Street Seaport museum flooded (not surprisingly), but the artifacts and ships were okay nonetheless.
