Today's dangling crane report from Midtown behemoth One57: the crane is still hanging over 57th Street after its collapse on Monday. The good news, though, is that area residents and employees evacuated because of the incident should be able to return by Monday, according to the Post. City engineers have deemed the crane's ties to the building secure, and workers "should be able 'to tie the boom to the building'" tomorrow. Then a new crane will have to be built to get the old one down. Onward.
UPDATE: Reuters has a real-time crane cam for anyone who wants to keep a closer eye on the situation.
