Chocolate Factory Gets Fun Signage; OHNY Photo Contest

New, 1 comment

SOHO?The former chocolate factory at 325 West Broadway recently received its construction sidewalk sheds, and developer DDG added some fun signage to the future condo that looks like an unwrapped chocolate bar. DDG is also behind the black-and-yellow Kusama-design netting at 345meatpacking, so they get major points in our book for creative construction sites. The signage at the chocolate factory also means that demolition work will be underway soon, with new construction beginning in early 2013. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]

NEW YORK CITY?Every year, Open House New York invites photographers to enter a photo competition with images taken during OHNY weekend. The ten finalists for this year have been chosen, and they are now up for popular vote. The Brooklyn Army Terminal, Central Synagogue, Park Avenue Armory, and TWA Flight Center are just a few of the buildings featured. You can vote here. [CurbedWire Inbox; official]
