The lot at 26 Avenue B, the former beer garden of East Village bar Croxley Ales, is set to be turned into a six-story apartment building. EV Grieve reports that plywood construction fencing has appeared at the site, along with permits from the DOB. Shiming Tam is listed as the architect, and filings show that there will be eight units in the building, which will have a restaurant or bar on the ground floor. No details yet on the design or whether it will be rentals or condos, but we're guessing rentals given the Alphabet City location near East 2nd Street. Have more intel on the project?
