The 60-story Carnegie Hall Tower?a skyscraper, logically, right next to Carnegie Hall?might owe the city $2.1 million in rent payments and penalties. The tower usually pays rent to Carnegie Hall, which in turn pays a percentage of that to the city according to the terms of a 1993 agreement. But the tower deducted millions in expenses and failed to report some of its income. Oops. [NYP]
