Monumental Sketches

Four Freedoms Park got the Sketchbook treatment in the latest issue of the New Yorker. Artist Maira Kalman colorfully rendered the new park and Manhattan skyline, writing, "The architect Louis Kahn, in tribute to FDR, envisioned a place of inspiration and meditation on the point of Roosevelt Island. Now, 40 years later, you can visit and the point is made." [New Yorker]
