"Half of these buildings are already quite tall, but not maxed out. Why would they be demolished? You're really going to take down the Graybar building, a monolith of steel and rock straddling Grand Central Terminal with a lot of retail space (and on top of two active train networks), in order to squeeze in just tens of thousands more square feet?
