After the storm, little was heard of the infamous landmark status-seeking Woodside beech tree. Had it survived? Or had it suffered the same fate as so many of its tree brethren? Today, an article in the Q Gazette revealed the Woodside beech to be alive and well, though still un-landmarked. And, since we did say that making it through the hurricane would be proof of the tree's worthiness, it would be fairly hypocritical to go back on that now. Landmark this tree!
