Moby Sells Renovated Bond Street Penthouse for $5.8 Million

New, 31 comments

Multi-careered Moby is an unlikely real estate maven. In addition to the Upper West Side castle he sold a few years back, the DJ/photographer/musician owned a $3.75 million combo penthouse at 7 Bond Street. He renovated the place, tearing out walls to create a 37-foot great room with a skylight and 19-foot ceilings. (Prior to the renovation, the apartment looked like this, and Moby purchased it despite the cheesy James Bond-referencing brokerbabble.) Then he heaved it back onto the market this past spring with a fresh ask of $6.5 million. The apartment has sold to an LLC for $5.8 million, according to public records. Moby has said before that he doesn't have a track record profiting on resales after renovations, and it doesn't seem like his luck has changed this time.
