Scholastic CEO Buys Devonshire House 4BR for $6.7 Million

New, 4 comments

At least one Devonshire House condo won't be falling into Alec Baldwin's hands. Apartment #8E, a 2,720-square-foot 4BR, 3.5BA, just sold to Scholastic CEO Richard Robinson (son of Scholastic founder Maurice Richard Robinson) according to city records. The apartment, which, based on its listing photos, really has a thing for floral wallpaper, spent less than two months on the market at $6,950,000 before Robinson scooped it up for $6,700,000. The seller, photographer Romaine Orthwein (great-granddaughter of the founder of Anheuser-Busch), recently relocated to a $5 million townhouse in Brooklyn Heights.
