The cash-strapped Hudson River Park is facing a new set of concerns: damage from Hurricane Sandy. The storm flooded the Pier 40 ball fields, destroyed infrastructure and plantings, and buckled the paving stones in playgrounds and sidewalks. Repairs are estimated to cost upwards of $10 million. Not good news considering that before the storm, the park needed $100 million just to repair Pier 40. [DNAinfo; previously]
