Here's one for everyone upset by AirBnBs going on in their buildings: a strip club owner is being sued by the Atelier for allegedly running an escort service out of his 41st-floor condo, according to the Post. Robert Gans, the owner of the Penthouse Executive Club, a Hell's Kitchen strip joint, allegedly placed his girlfriend in the apartment, where she "[invited] male guests to the unit at all hours of the night during the week and weekend," according to the suit. Shocking as this may seem, the signs were all there. For one thing, the company that Gans bought the apartment through is called Swingtime LLC, so it was probably foolish for the board to expect that unit to end up being used for anything other than an escort service or a tango class. Also, as the Post points out, the Atelier had already been named "NYC's sexiest building" by Prudential Douglas Elliman. Gans, clearly, was just trying to help it live up to its title. They should be thanking him! Instead, the board want Gans out and Swingtime to pay a $5,000 fine.
