Say Hello to Cobble Hill's Sparkly Mosaic House

New, 7 comments

The East Village may have the Mosaic Man, but Cobble Hill has its own Mosaic House. At 108 Wyckoff Street, artist Susan Gardner has been pasting things to her townhouse for more than a decade, creating a glittering mosaic that covers everything from the bars on her windows to the cast-iron fence to the front sidewalk. Colorful gems, shiny tiles, millions of buttons, and dozens of little figurines form the shapes, people, and words that take over the house, recently photographed by Untapped New York. How do the neighbors feel about the quirky house? They love it, and they even bring her pieces to add to the project.
