Every New Yorker became an archicritic yesterday when Norman Foster's renovation plans for the New York Public Library were finally revealed. The renderings provided a peek at what the transformed building will look like, but Foster + Partners also created a fly-through video, seamlessly showing how the new section integrates with the old building to give viewers a more accurate feeling of what the makeover will create?except without books, color, or sound.
