Charming West Village Apartment Doesn't Quite Ask $1 Million

New, 21 comments

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.

Price: $995,000
Address: 25 Charles Street #1C
Size: 2BR, 1BA
Maintenance: $1,215

There isn't much to complain about with this little West Village co-op, which features a newish kitchen, original molding and details, a wall of exposed brick, and two bedrooms. Even the fact that it's on the first floor could be viewed in a positive light, as 25 Charles Street is a non-elevator building. The apartment does seem to have some trouble holding onto an owner, however—it sold for $760,000 in 2008 and $810,000 in 2009—but whatever the problem might be, it's not readily apparent in the photos.
