Trees for Cash

Money doesn't grow on trees, but the city is hoping to make a pretty buck by selling their trees. During Hurricane Sandy, the city lost hundreds of trees in the five boroughs, plus many more in city-owned watersheds in Westchester County. Instead of discarding the trees, the city is chopping them up and selling them as lumber. We predict a slew of furniture marketed as "Made From NYC Trees." [NYT]
