Residents of 88 Greenwich, one of the buildings declared unsafe and uninhabitable right after Hurricane Sandy, began allowing its residents back home yesterday. One of them reports: "Today is the day residents begin moving back in starting with the lower floors and by the end of the week Friday/Saturday everyone will have been given opportunity to come home. No cooking gas and no laundry for an unspecified period of time. Xmas tree and welcome home banner in lobby. (Ha)." Another resident complains of no heat. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
