The latest designs for the building that will fill the parking lot on Varick between Beach and North Moore Streets shows a lower profile structure that hugs its North Moore neighbor to the east a little closer. Yesterday we noted that early renderings of a building that would occupy the lot at 20-24 Varick Street (alternately, 11 North Moore) appeared higher than information on the DOB permit detailed. Since then, we came across a more recent rendering that reflects the work of current architecture firm Adjmi & Andreoli, who took over for the firm Sanba (producer of the older rendering). The newer design looks more in profile with the rest of the neighboring buildings. Residents of 9 North Moore may want to enjoy the views out of their lot line windows while they can, however, because those look short-lived.
