Under-Construction Chelsea Building Getting Uglier

New, 8 comments

Last we checked, the Anbau Enterprises-developed, BKSK Architects-designed 124 West 23rd Street seemed to have dealt with its rat problem and was progressing as planned. Apparently, part of that plan was a somewhat...interesting facade. The front of the building is currently covered by a large net, possibly out of embarrassment, but it's going to have to show its face eventually and from what we can see of that face it doesn't look good.

The interior of the building will contain 30 residential units (5 PH, 5 Studio, 5 1BRs, 15 2BRs) and 3,700 square feet of retail space, hopefully none of which will feature weird, multi-colored, old-looking bricks. It's still supposed to be finished this summer.
