Revenge of the Megaprojects

An early morning uh-oh for traffic at the future Barclays Center: the arena's parking lot will use stack-parking spaces, which involve hydraulic lifts that stack two to four cars on top of each other. Neighbors are worried that the stack parking machinery will slow the whole parking process and create traffic jams. Then drivers in a hurry might forego the lot and try to grab curbside parking spaces instead. Developer Forest City Ratner's apparently investigating the alternatives to car stacking. [NYP]
