Greenpoint Church Still Praying for a Conversion (And $4.75M)

New, 2 comments

It's been several years now that brokers have been taking turns trying to sell Greenpoint's landmark St. Elias Church. A tipster points us to the latest attempt, a listing from Massey Knakal. This time the ask is $4.75 million. Last we checked, the sanctuary was asking $3.4 million, with the Sunday school available for another $3.7 million. The Massey Knakal brochure is heavy on references to other successful church-to-condo conversions like Novare, and the listing does appear to be seeking a developer's attention: "this development site is located on one of the most desirable streets in Brooklyn and is a perfect conversion project for condominiums or rental units." We assume the robot orchestra has cleared out.
