'First' Jeweler Buys Flipped Studio at Superior Ink for $1.7M

New, 18 comments

Described as the go-to jeweler for First Lady Michelle Obama, designer Loree Rodkin just purchased a real estate bauble of her own at Superior Ink. Rodkin bought the former second-cheapest apartment at 400 West 12th Street, a 943 square foot studio on the third floor that was owned by Horacio Ledon, who bought the unit in March 2010 for $997,885. Perhaps inspired by all the high-profile flipping going on elsewhere in the building, Ledon renovated his studio and put it back on the market for $1.7 million, which he finally got from Rodkin.
