Here's a new one in the world of interior decorating: painting the Sistine Chapel murals on the ceiling of an Upper East Side studio. So artist Alex Gardega is doing, he explains to the Daily News, and he plans to do it in just two months. The total cost of the mural is about $100,000 (with the cost of supplies covered by one of Gardega's art clients), and Gardega says he's worried that the apartment's next inhabitant will just white out his work. Indeed: how does a burnt sienna oil wash of the Sistene Chapel ceiling affect a studio's resale value?
