When Jackie Kennedy moved into the White House and set about redecorating to her considerable taste, she tapped interiors queen Sister Parish, a partner of Albert Hadley, to assist. Her odd first name, descended from a childhood nickname, caused some confusion in the press at the time, as one headline declared "Kennedys Pick Nun to Decorate White House."
