Actor David Schwimmer tore down the townhouse at 331 East 6th Street to build a six-story mansion, and neighbors aren't happy about it. But did Schwimmer do anything wrong? Not in the legal sense, according to one real estate attorney. If a building is under consideration for landmarking, the DOB gets 40 days to review the plans for any demolition or renovation, and the DOB usually finds reason to deny the plans. In this case, though, Schwimmer got the go-ahead. [BrickU; previously]
