Last we heard from 1110 Park Avenue, the former home of abstract painter Judith Rothschild had gone into foreclosure, sold to a new owner, and returned to the market as an attempted flip asking $15 million. In a twist, a Curbed tipster hears that Toll Brothers has recently purchased 1110 Park and is in contract to purchase its neighbor, 1108 Park. We don't see evidence of the sale in public record yet, and the folks at Toll Brothers tell us they're "not ready to comment at this time." But given the speedy sales at Toll Brothers' other UES project, The Touraine, another condo plan for the neighborhood wouldn't surprise us. Indeed, our tipster tells us, "They are also in contract to purchase the air rights on the building at 88th and Park, which will enable them to construct a 15-story building on the 1108-1110 site." The plot thickens! Anyone know more? Tell us!
