PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Tomorrow we reveal the answer. And hey, no cheating!
What/Where: 2BR/2BA co-op on Barrow Street in West Village
Square Foot: N/A
Maintenance/CC: $1,078.90 a month
The Skinny: Before the giant half-finished loft became the go-to film and television stereotype for where fresh-off-the-bus newcomers found themselves when arriving in New York City, the convention was usually a West Village apartment that fit the description of this place: 2BR/2BA apartment with windows in every room, a fireplace, a roof deck with 360 degree views of the surrounding neighborhood, hopefully where a character could think deep thoughts and maybe have some sort of epiphany. A tree-lined street outside that was charmingly non-linear was also standard, as was a wacky roommate. That is fantasy of course; it takes big money to live in a place like this. The question is, how much? Your guesses in the comments, please.
