Tribeca's Saddest Pool Gets More Cheerful, Less Expensive

New, 15 comments

Unlike other Tribeca listings we've mentioned today, the first floor of 51 Walker Street has some serious downsides. As we saw on Selling New York, it's contending with a dark interior, a hobbit-sized hallway, and an outdoor pool surrounded by a kinda depressing wall. No surprise, it's now also trying a new broker, the property's sixth. The new price is $5.695 million, a dive (sorry) from the unit's peak 2008 ask of $8.695 million. This time the staging aims to give the place a light and airy look, and even if the photos can't hide that it's a first-floor space, the pool looks more inviting this time. Or maybe it's the freakish weather making us believe so.
