RED HOOK—Despite the official arrival of spring to match the great weather we've been having, the city has closed 4 of the natural grass fields at Red Hook's Ballfields after discovering elevated lead levels in the soil. Fields 5, 6, 7, and 8 at Red Hook Park will be closed for the next 6-8 weeks after clay is laid down and grass is regrown. [Curbedwire Inbox]
