J.Crew's Jenna Lyons Sells Knockout Park Slope House for $4M

New, 11 comments

J. Crew president and creative director Jenna Lyons listed her beautiful Park Slope townhouse at 178 Garfield Place in November for $3.75 million. It was in contract by early December, and now the sale has closed and the deed's in public record. The property went for an even $4 million, 7 percent over the asking price, to Vincent and Tracy Martin. Lyons and her husband, from whom she has split, paid just $1.3 million for the 4,400-square-foot house in 2004. Another interesting tidbit from the deed: Lyons' new address is listed as Tribeca's American Express Carriage House. The unit in question was last listed for $5.895 million.
A few 178 Garfield highlights from the brokerbabble:

An open double parlor, beautiful (but not fussy) plaster cornices & medallions, aged pine floors, and 7 restored limestone mantels are just a few of the special details of this magnificent house. The casually chic home boasts 7 bedrooms, 3.5 luxuriously appointed baths, an eat-in cook's kitchen with top of the line appliances, large private terrace off the master bedroom and a cellar that has been converted to a media room for entertaining. And here's the floorplan:
