When One Hunters Point and Hunters View Condominiums opened for sales in fall 2007, buyers started lining up on Friday afternoon for a Saturday on-sale date. It's been years since we've seen a similar open house frenzy, but Chelsea's 422 West 20th Street did a credible job with its sales launch this past weekend. At 11 a.m. Saturday, the line, shown above, was 75 people deep, and a total of 700 people showed up to check out the 37-unit building. (All apartments except the super's and the first-floor sales office were up for grabs.) Sales reps are sending out contracts this week and won't release numbers until those contracts are officially signed. Still, 2007, it was nice to see ya for a minute.
