Yet another troubled condo project—this one the glassy 12-story mini-tower formerly from DJ Associates at 8th Street and 4th Avenue in Gowanus—is being revived as a rental building. JDS Development Group and Property Markets Group purchased the site in 2008 and have just recently topped out the steel on the structure that will contain 51 units. That's 8 more apartments than were planned when the lot was destined for condo-land. Building amenities will include a common roof deck, a private park and terrace, a fitness center, a children's playroom, and personal storage facilities. Units in the building will range from 1BRs for $2,790 a month to 3BRs for $5,670 a month.
