Looks like luxury apartments are coming to Greenpoint's northern border, by Newtown Creek. The Brooklyn Paper reports plans to build a 7-story rental building with 210 units on Manhattan Avenue and Box Street. Being nine blocks from the subway (and the G, at that) and practically on top of a superfund site isn't enough to detract developers from building here. Construction should be complete by 2014, and we'll keep you updated on progress. [BK Paper]
