A renter with a large collection of 1950s decor and memorabilia went on the hunt for an unrenovated Manhattan or Brooklyn midcentury pad. Thanks to landlord renovations, not an easy find. Cullen Meyer's search finally took him to a top-floor apartment in Williamsburg that had been owned by the same family since the 1950s and included pink bathroom and all. Meyer asked the landlord to leave it as is?"My landlord jokingly asked if I was a hoarder," he tells the Times. We don't think it was a joke, actually. [NYT]
