Scarano-Designed Dumbo Rentals Turn Condo Again

Barred-chitect Robert Scarano designed Dumbo's 133 Water Street long before the "barred" prefix was bestowed upon him by the city. Originally planned as a condo, the building went nondo and then went quiet, emerging only when the neighboring chimney was fixed. And now, to go partially condo again. Dumbo NYC spotted four listings for one- and two-bedrooms, ranging in price from $700,000 to $939,000. Maybe Scarano projects will gain value now that they'll get rarer. Or perhaps not.
